Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea about her secret
When her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen finds herself in the spotlight, and her employer turns to Sam to protect her. Bingo, the owner of the guitar store where Sam buys guns, is played by Rhett Scabis, a member of the classic punk band The Damned. The film stars Graham Norton and guests: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024).
Of course, they just develop characters and set a unique tone
“Spies”, London, Kira, Ben, quality cinematography, a wonderful soundtrack – what could go wrong? Besides, I already know that this is my favorite genre, and I will ignore any possible shortcomings. But when the dialogues in the first episode were slow, some moments lasted too long, and the walls with dialogue demands in the style of the fifth part left me indifferent, I asked to comfort myself.
I was wrong
As the series dragged on, I realized that this series would not fulfill its promises. Not only was it disjointed, but it had few or no characters that I really liked. To be honest, I don’t know how this magic happens, but I was deeply mesmerized by the stories and characters in Lazy Horses, The Americans, The Bureau, The Diplomat, and even The Old Man, despite all their flaws.
I’m so sad about what could have been
Add to that the lack of stakes and numerous errors in basic details, and the ratio of annoying to intriguing becomes too high to be interesting. Yes, “Black Doves” has all the main elements of a spy series, but somehow it lacks sharpness, and by the 3rd episode I was already increasing the playback speed. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here is a complete selection of new movies and TV shows that will be streaming on Netflix this month.
