Great performance from everyone
Best New Show After the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and lackluster shows everywhere, this felt much better in every way. It looks very well done and the action/fight scenes are amazing. I feel like most of the criticism of this show in the comment section is about how unrealistic the whole female operative thing is, and I, a guy, don’t care for a good action-driven show.
It’s an original IP that doesn’t work and doesn’t turn a male lead into a woman
I haven’t seen any red flags yet about making all men unfit or anything like that. Also, I initially thought this was going to be a more action-oriented, no-frills series, but then they dug into the family a bit, and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they did. there.
It’s fast-paced and intense, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic, like a blacklist
My only criticism is that the plotting that this group of operatives is doing is very limiting to the story and could kill you for a season’s worth of plot/villains… it needs to be more comprehensive so they can do the new Homeland even better. PS: Nicole Kidman’s part so far has been incredibly small and uneventful, and anyone else could have done it…
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the series
But from what I’ve seen so far, the series with Zaldana could stand on its own without any other A-listers. TLDR Overall, cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done. It’s entertaining even if some commentators don’t seem to prefer the History Channel show.
